Engine Trouble
Most improvised shoot to date. The entire time was spent racing against the sunset but amazing little nooks were discovered and pretty photos were taken. Stylist was Luisa Pino. Models were Cristina Londono and Mauricio Meneses. Must apologize to my amazing crew for my subpar driving skills and the very real risk of contracting chikungunya on account of stepping into a swarm of mosquitos.

Orange Crush I
Warning: enormous post ahead. Spent Saturday afternoon at the beach (again) with the beautiful Kate Walter and her friend Caro who was an awesome assistant (thanks for holding that reflector!) The shoot is separated between "Sun is so harsh I need the reflector to create shade" and "Holy balls, golden hour". Kudos to the sweet guy who let us borrow his surf board for five minutes. Part two coming soon!

The Wanderers
Another wondrously improvised shoot with stylist Luiza Pino, which was slapped together in a couple of hours with about zero prep. Quickly becoming on of my all-time favourite shoots. Big thanks to the genetically blessed cousins who modeled for me: Maria Jose Mccausland, Isabela Mccausland and Diana Echeverry. And big thanks to Luiz for letting us play with his awesome Jeep and assisting (flying a kite).

We are happy even if we're smiling out of fear
I've been feeling so inspired by Lorde's music lately. If you have no idea who she is, go look her up NOW because she is wonderful and her song Tennis Courts is all I could listen to while editing this set.
Originally this was meant to be shot in a very cloudy, stormy beach but weather rarely cooperates and we shot during golden hour at a deserted beach. Despite 30 degree (Celsius) temperatures, model Maria C braved the grungy layers with cool aplomb. First-time stylist Luiza Pino did an amazing job putting together our 90's inspired wardrobe and took some shots through-out the whole thing, really looking forward to seeing her photos of the day. Kudos to our "assistant" Jose for his good cheer and holding a giant reflector in strong winds.
