Engine Trouble

Most improvised shoot to date. The entire time was spent racing against the sunset but amazing little nooks were discovered and pretty photos were taken. Stylist was Luisa Pino. Models were Cristina Londono and Mauricio Meneses. Must apologize to my amazing crew for my subpar driving skills and the very real risk of contracting chikungunya on account of stepping into a swarm of mosquitos.

Valentina

Mostly improvised shoots always turn out to be the best shoots. And it doesn't get more improvised than driving around on a Sunday afternoon looking for nice locations. Model is Valentina Salazar and fashion comes courtesy of local designers Judy Hazbun and Laetitia by Tatiana Robles.

Western Sun

Big thank you to the lovely neighbors who let Rowa and I prance about their beautiful, old barn yesterday. This barn is seriously magic. Full of cobwebs and that cow smell that takes me back to my childhood visiting my dad's farm. Magic. Rowa is amazing and game for braving the fields full of cows and a bull we thankfully didn't meet.

Apologies to the cows who were very vocal on their disapproval of two girls invading their turf.

Sink

DSC_0222

I had to share these photos straight away, barely 5 hours after finishing the shoot. It's always a real treat when images just come out amazing and editing is minimal and fast. Major kudos to Chelsea for driving up to Washington for a rainy afternoon and posing while hiding from picnic-goers. Also, for taking a dip in the freezing river, for which I apologize, but I love every single photo.

After leaving England I've been in weird emotional and creative rut, barely picking up my camera in 5 months. I'm inordinately happy that it feels comfortable in my hands again and I'm proud of my work. Thanks again to Chelsea for making my job so easy, you're a natural.

Long post ahead....
