Orange Crush I

Warning: enormous post ahead. Spent Saturday afternoon at the beach (again) with the beautiful Kate Walter and her friend Caro who was an awesome assistant (thanks for holding that reflector!) The shoot is separated between "Sun is so harsh I need the reflector to create shade" and "Holy balls, golden hour". Kudos to the sweet guy who let us borrow his surf board for five minutes. Part two coming soon!

  2. Wow! I really love the light and the backround. The model is stunning! It's always hard for me to shoot on a sunny day, do you have some tips that would help me? ^^
Can't wait to see the second part! =)

    1. Hi Eugenie! Well if you're shooting in very bright sun, the best thing to do is find shade. you can also make you're own shade with the white side of a reflector or DIY something with a sheet. I'm still learning tricks myself! Shooting close to sunset is easier, though shooting backlit (with the sun directly behind the model) is a bit tricky and requires practice and patience until you find an exposure you like :)
